It was Cup day in the Norwich Premier Security NEN League with the quarter finals of the Nicholson's of Stalham Benevolent ties taking pride of place.

The game that produced the most goals was at Aldborough Green, where the home side entertained Lyng and recorded their best win to date netting seven times without reply thanks to a brace apiece from Will Abbs and Marty Fairchild with Ash Moakes and Gary Parks also getting on the scoresheet, their reward for this success is another home tie in the semi-final against holders Gimingham, who thanks to two goals from Ryan Beeson and one apiece from Wayne Cutting and Glen Thurston saw off visitors Corpusty by a 4-1 margin.

The other semi will see Coltishall, who took on Glaven Valley from the third division at Rectory Road and a brace apiece from Ross Joy and Wayne Nelson saw off their spirited opponents, at home to Ludham who, thanks to a 94th minute penalty from Carl O'Connor which cancelled out East Ruston's Nick Stride's earlier goal, took the game into extra time when Martin Le-Page netted his side's winning goal.

In the REW Subsidiary Cup Blakeney produced a bit of a giant killing act when the second division side knocked out Horning from Division One thanks to a Peter Nelson strike, and they now have another home draw, this time against Mundesley who disposed of Buxton Reserves 7-0, Haisboro Athletic had a comfortable 4-1 home win over Worstead to set up a home tie against Holt 'A' who disposed of Aylsham 'A' 3-0.

Runton travelled to North Walsham 'A' and recorded a fine win against an in-form side, winning by the odd goal of three and in the next round they will be on their travels again, this time to Erpingham who for their part were 6-2 home winners over Felmingham. Plumstead Rangers won the all third division clash at Trunch by a 2-0 margin and will be at home to Hickling who recorded a fine 1-0 away success at Cawston

There were only two league games, Corpusty Reserves beat Aldborough Lions Reserves 6-1 in the Wayford Nurseries Division Two and Worstead Reserves won a nine goal thriller at home to Mundesley Reserves in the Knights Trophies Division Three 5-4.
