A nine-year-old girl will have her hair cut for charity in memory of another girl, who died of cancer.
Little Millie Hannah, of Northrepps, will have her locks lopped off during a fundraising table-top sale, raffle and games day at Cromer Parish Hall on Saturday, January 27, starting at 10am, with the haircut scheduled for 2pm.
There will also be a charity coffee morning at the White Horse pub in Overstrand on Saturday, January 20 from 10am.
Millie is hoping to raise £600, enough for the charity Little Princess Trust to make two wigs for children undergoing cancer treatment.
Millie's parents, Kyrstie and Mally Hannah, said they were both proud of their little girl.
Mrs Hannah said: 'Millie decided to do this because a girl in the year below her at school sadly lost her battle with cancer in September and she wanted to do something to help. She had heard of the little princess through the internet and wants to help make a difference to another child's life who is suffering from hair loss from cancer treatment or from alopecia.'
She added: 'The haircut is totally her own decision to do and we hope that Millie will inspire others to help this charity in the future.
'In fact her younger sister who is seven, has asked to do it when her hair is long enough.'
