A new volunteer hub for north Norfolk is being opened at Merchants' Place community resource and learning centre in Cromer.

Following its launch on Wednesday, June 6, it will be open five days a week from 9am to 5pm and will welcome enquiries from groups needing volunteers and people wishing to volunteer. It will offer a matching service alongside advice for groups and ongoing support for volunteers.

Centre manager Rachel Sidell said: 'We will open our doors on June 6 at 10am with over 25 local organisation attending the launch. Come along and enjoy free refreshments and find out about the exciting opportunities in your local area.'

Merchants' Place has been serving Cromer and the surrounding area for more than 12 years. It was set up as a community hub where residents and businesses could access essential advice services, education and training alongside a modern space for community groups to meet.
