She plans to study A-levels in biology, chemistry, maths and English at Paston Sixth Form College.

She said: 'I hope to go on and do something in medicine or biology. I know it can be tough getting into university so I am going to do volunteer work in the meantime as well.'

Head Glyn Hambling, said: 'The results are a testament to the commitment and partnership between staff and pupils who have worked extremely hard to gain the best for everybody.

'This shows our commitment to develop ourselves which will continue into the future.'

I am very proud of them. Our students are a wonderful group of young people and they and the staff deserve congratulations for these magnificent results.'

At Aylsham again there cries of delight as the school topped its previous records.

They have exceeded all expectations with their tremendous results and have done themselves, their families, their teachers, their school and their community proud. They now have the perfect platform from which to build for their future success.

Completing the line-up for best ever results was Stalham High School.
