Paul Macro captured the short video of the animal scampering up the cliffs on Sunday, May 19, while working on Happisburgh beach for a project scanning the county's coastline.

Mr Macro said: "I couldn't believe my eyes this afternoon."

And the 44-year-old photographer shared his find on social media.

Commenters marvelled at the "beautiful sight" and described the fox as "agile" and "nimble", with one viewer adding: "Hope the sand martins are safe."

And to reassure those concerned about reports of palm oil washing up on Norfolk's beaches, Mr Macro added: "Thankfully I didn't see any palm oil there today."
