Students at a Cromer school enjoyed a visit from a group of professional musicians who aimed to inspire them to get into music.

Musicians from the Norfolk Music Hub visited Cromer Academy on Thursday, June 7, for a concert and a live music workshop.

They performed pieces for the students from across musical history, from Vivaldi to Ed Sheeran.

Students had the chance to try out different instruments, including the cello, violin, saxophone, and flute.

The visit was organised by the Inspiration Trust’s director of music John Stephens as part of Norfolk Music Hub’s live music week.

Cromer Academy headteacher Antony Little said: “They will have learnt so much from seeing instruments performed live and to see and hear how musical styles have developed over 500 years.

“Music is at the heart of our school and we hope this inspires students to get involved at any stage.”
