Canine companions could soon be in for treat after the opening of Norfolk’s latest dog boutique.
Woofers and Barkers, which opened on the High Street in Holt on August 1, is offering a unique range of products for pooches sourced from the UK and Europe.
The business has opened up in a listed building which pre-dates the great fire of Holt and, in recent years, was used as a hairdressing salon by Denise Bottrill for more than two decades.
Its new owners, partners Martin Allan and Sarah Williamson, live in nearby Letheringsett and have fitted out the shop using an abundance of reclaimed materials.
With a number of products stocked exclusively by Woofers and Barkers, the couple are excited to see how much the company can grow in this dog-friendly part of the world.
"We've put together a unique offering, hand-picked by myself and Sarah," said Mr Allan. "We have scoured the market to find the absolute best in terms of dog-related products.

"There are leads, harnesses, water bottles, beds, toys, special clothes and boots for dogs - you name it, we've got it.
"It has been all our own work in terms of fitting out the shop, but we've also used lots of other local businesses to get us to where we are now.
"There are obviously plenty of pet stores in Norfolk, but I can assure you that this is the absolute first dog boutique - and one that caters for every single need."
Despite high streets in the region - and indeed across the country - struggling to survive in an ever-changing retail environment, Mr Allan and Ms Williamson hope to buck the trend and provide a shot in the arm.
"We did lots of market research and it's evident that millennials in particular are spending a lot of money on their dogs, partly because they're having kids later and later," added Mr Allan.
"There's also quite a large elderly population in Holt and the surrounding area, many of whom have dogs - so overall that is a good combination.
"Naturally we are in the epicentre of dog-friendly Norfolk and the customer reaction since we opened has been fantastic."
