Staff and pupils at Cawston Primary Academy have been awarded money from the Sheringham Shoal community fund to help save water.

The school has installed new efficient taps in the pupils' toilets. These new taps mean that less water is used by the school.

Vice-chairman of governors Revd Andrew Whitehead said: 'As a Church of England Academy, the school tries to live by the values taught to the children. Christianity teaches us to respect and nurture the world, so saving water is something we should all be doing. These taps help us to be an even greener school, and to show the children that they can make a difference.'

Headteacher Kay Swann added: 'We are working hard towards educating our pupils about sustainable living. We are keen to improve how we manage our use of energy and water so as to conserve our natural resources and cut energy costs.'
