The annual crowning of carnival queen Miss Cromer was given added rock and roll glitz yesterday as a new carnival song was revealed and performed on the town's pier forecourt.
Normally a fairly staid affair, the crowning was, as usual, watched by hundreds of people seated on the forecourt and lining the zig zag pathways up into town.
Lucy Hyam, flanked by her senior and junior attendants, prince and princess, received the crown from restaurateur and entertainer Andreas Yiasimi, of the Constantia Brothers.
But then Mr Yiasimi added his own sparkle to proceedings by performing a new song he recorded in the last few days about the carnival and called 'Wanna Tell Everyone How I Feel'.
