Pupils celebrated the opening of a new garden with two very special guests.
The new garden at Worstead Primary School, which has taken six months to complete, was officially opened on Wednesday by Rob Chandler, a presenter on Heart radio station and Cynthia Clare, who was made an MBE in 2002 for her services to the community in Worstead.
Included in the new garden, the money for which came from a donation from the Worstead Festival, are a variety of plants, logs and bird boxes as well as a range of items made from recycled materials.
The school also organised a host of activities to mark the day, including a performance from the school choir, country dancing and games for the children as well as a visit from a steam traction engine.
Ralph Hedley, who is acting head at the school, said; 'The garden is going to be used as a place to be creative, with writing and artistic work and with sensory objects.'
