Stunning shots of birds, butterflies and frozen landscapes were among the many outstanding entries in North Norfolk Photographic Society’s ‘members print’ competition.
There were 12 entries in the novice section, and the winner was Hanne Siebers whose print My Arctic Diary was given full marks. Second was Ian Moxey with Peaceful Blakeney and third Colin Horwood’s Locked Door.
There were 38 photos in the advanced section, with full marks going to Paul Richards’ Red Kite in Blizzard, Nick Akers’ Seapool and then joint third went to two photos by Liz Akers, Chalk-hill Blue Butterfly and Dawn at Flakstad, Lofoten.
The competition was judged by Sarah Kelman, who, along with being a keen photographer herself, is also an Airbus pilot, gliding champion, yachtswoman and diver.
The group meets on the first and third Wednesdays of the month at Holt Community Centre, email firstname.lastname@example.org or visit www.nnphotosoc.org for more.
