A national supermarket chain has announced another round of major price cuts.
Aldi say they are investing £100 million to reduce prices on 330 everyday items, including food, household goods, and personal care products, in their latest effort to support families through the summer holidays.
The retailer says the latest price cuts are intended to 'keep grocery bills as low as possible'.
Julie Ashfield, chief commercial officer at Aldi UK, said: "It has never been more important that everyday grocery essentials and family favourites remain affordable.
"We are committed to keeping prices low on popular products because we know it can make a real difference, helping families to make the most of the summer."
As part of the reductions, Aldi customers can now save 80p on selected British steaks, including the 21-Day Matured Sirloin Steak, now £4.49, and the 21-Day Matured Ribeye Steak, now £4.59.
Fruit and vegetables are also included in the cuts, with 40p off a four-pack of nectarines and 22p off honeydew melons.
Aldi’s Specially Selected Cheddar cheeses are now £2.99, a saving of 40p.
The retailer has now reduced the price of over 1,000 items so far this year.
Aldi has also recently announced the return of its Summer Support Scheme, giving away £50 shops to families every day throughout July and August.
The latest price drop aims to help shoppers stretch their budgets further during the school holidays.
