Amber Read, 23, has entered a nationwide competition, to work as a model grid girl for Foxhill Motocross and appear in their calendar.

The Grid Girls competition, which is being run by the Kerri Parker Academy based in Norwich, is spread over six rounds with up to 100 finalists in each round.

Amber, who has two daughters, aged five and one, is hoping winning the competition could be her big break.

She said: 'I am hoping if I do get through, this could lead onto a lot more work for me, I have always wanted to do modelling and make a career out of it and this would be an ideal start for me.'

The finalists need to secure public votes, and the two girls with the most votes from each round will win a place in the final 12 team of Grid Girls.

The final 12 will all appear as Grid Girls for Foxhill Motorcross, and other companies throughout the year and will appear in the 2011 Grid Girls calendar.
