North Norfolk MP Norman Lamb is preparing for two epic journeys next month- one around his constituency by car, the other to Paris by bicycle.
Each year the Liberal Democrat makes a pilgrimage around the rural parishes in his patch, so people who find it difficult to reach his town surgeries, get a chance to meet him on their own doorstep.
On September 1, 9, 10, 11 and 14 he will visit around a dozen different villages, so locals can raise concerns and issues.
In the middle on Thursday September 9 the 51-year-old is joining 200 cyclists riding from London to Paris in aid of the Royal British Legion. He is doing the gruelling trip with son Ned, and hoping to raise more than 5,000.
North Norfolk News reporter Ed Foss is tacking the same journey and is charting their progress in a blog at www.norfolknomads.blogspot.com
Sponsorship can be done by going on the Bmycharity website and typing in Norman Lamb or by sending a cheque payable to Royal British Legion to his office which is at Guyton House, 5 Vicarage Street, North Walsham, Norfolk, NR28 9DQ.
