A keen koi carp keeper near Holt believes his, and other local pond fish, are being eaten by mink.
Retired garage mechanic Ray Morgan has spent 10,000 moving his collection of fish from Hertfordshire and building it up at his new home in the High Kelling area.
But despite putting netting over the pond something has 'wriggled underneath', stolen an 18in-long, 15-year-old fish, eaten it on site, and left the remains nearby which were discovered by his pet dog.
'I also lost a couple three months ago, another chap nearby lost three, and have heard of people in Overstrand also having fish taken,' he explained.

'This is not herons, or next door's cat. It has all the signs of mink, which can travel up to 25-30 miles.'
He is getting a mink trap to capture the suspected culprit which is vermin and must be humanely destroyed. But Mr Morgan is keen to hear from any other fish owners suffering similar losses. He can be contacted on 07751 968586
