Five pupils from Ludham Primary School have won a place in the final of a national business competition, called Tycoon in Schools, which is run by Peter Jones, star of TV's Dragon's Den.

The youngtsers were visited by North Norfolk MP Norman Lamb who spoke to the three business teams, one of whom has won a place in the final.

The 'Birdie Brunch' business team, which was chosen by Mr Jones, will attend an awards ceremony at Buckingham Palace on March 6 where they will compete against seven other finalists. The team's idea was to create a bird feeder from a giant pine cone, which they covered in suet and seeds. They gift-wrapped their product to make it appealing as a Christmas gift, which helped to boost their sales, making them a 637pc return profit. The team will meet Mr Jones, founder of the Peter Jones Foundation, and Prince Andrew, who is patron of the foundation.
