North Walsham Town council have a precept meeting on November 13.

This is where they decide on your council tax for next year.

The North Walsham precept has gone up by about 25pc in 2014, in 2015 3pc, in 2016 42pc, in 2017 16pc and last year up by 18pc.

Our town council has the second highest parish precept in the district.

If you want to find out more about it, let me know or come along to our town council meeting on 30 October 30.

You can make suggestions as to how your money is spent, influence how your council tax is decided.

If there is no public interest, the town council may just whack up your council tax again and to pay for what?

I’m a resident in North Walsham and I haven’t had a pay increase, I don’t know about you.

But as a town councillor too, I’m asking residents to please get involved in this process. We don’t have to increase the council tax if you don’t want to.
