A firm that works with the UK space industry has hosted a different kind of launch in north Norfolk.
Raptor Aerospace, which is based at Scottow Enterprise Park in Badersfield, led the inaugural meeting of the new North Norfolk Manufacturing Group, which about 25 people attended.
The new group was set up by North Norfolk District Council, in co-ordination with New Anglia Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering (NAAME).
Richard Kershaw, the council's portfolio holder for economic and career development, said: "The overriding message that came out of the meeting was the need to find, encourage and retain staff and the need to establish appropriate training. It was very encouraging to see that the businesses who attended were all growing and innovative, something that needs to be publicised to awaken interest in the broader public arena."
The group aims to meet quarterly, and then next meeting will be on October 16, email the council's economic growth team at economic.growth@north-norfolk.gov.uk for more.
