A woman who stole almost £4,000 from a life-saving charity is awaiting what her punishment will be from a crown court after her case was adjourned for sentencing.

Jessica Parker, 58, appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court having pleaded guilty on May 4 this year to stealing almost £4,000 from the Sea Palling Independent Lifeboat, while acting as its secretary.

Her previously estranged son Chris Parker, 33, was dubbed the “bombing hero” who claimed to have helped victims of the Manchester Arena attack last year.

However, he later admitted to having stolen a teenager’s phone from the purse of Pauline Healey as her 14-year-old granddaughter was dying in front of her.

Parker, of Corton Road, Norwich, was told by chair magistrate Darren Gilkes that her case would be heard in crown court under the Proceeds of Crime Act, at a date yet to be set.
