The low roar of Jaguar E-Type engines is filling the Norfolk air as a small fleet of the classic automobiles cruises through the county to help fight prostate cancer.
About 15 vehicles from the 1960s and 1970s made their way out of Cromer this morning (Saturday, September 29) as part of the Round Britain Coastal Drive.
Jonathan and Nicolette Cole, funeral directors from Minster-in-Thanet, are among a handful of participants taking part in every stage of the journey, which started at Pendine Sands in Wales on September 17.
Mr Cole, 66, who was diagnosed with prostate cancer two years ago, said: 'Our aim is to raise £70,000 for Prostate Cancer UK, but we also want to raise the profile of it, especially among men who are a bit younger.'
The couple are travelling in a 1970 E-Type which Mr Coles said was 'lovely to drive'.
Mrs Cole said: 'Wales was great and the Scotting Highlands were unbelievable. Every day was more dramatic and more beautiful.'
The north Norfolk waypoint has a special significance on the tour, as the E-Type's designer, Malcolm Sayer, was born in Cromer.
After staying at the Northrepps Cottage Country Hotel the next stop on the 19-day road trip was due to be Chelmsford.
The event will finish in Bridgwater in Somerset on Friday, with most of the roughly 80 vehicles taking part only joining for several stages.
Paul and Rachel Pitfield, from Bristol, have also been on the tour since the beginning.
Mrs Pitfield, who said she lost both of per parents to cancer, said: 'It has been amazing. We've met people from all over but they've all got this common interest.'
The Jaguar E-Type, produced from 1961 to 1975, become an icon of the motoring world due to its appearance and high performance, with Enzo Ferrari even calling it 'the most beautiful car ever made'.
The tour is taking place for the third time this year and covers almost 4,000 miles.
Philip Porter, founder of the E-type Club, said of the event: 'Every day had its own character and special quality.
'Above all, there was a wonderful camaraderie as we all had a common cause and could use the fabulous E-type Jaguars, which we are lucky enough to own, for the good of men everywhere.'
