A north Norfolk village pub is hosting a series of festive events in aid of two good causes.

The Hunworth Bell, near Holt, which is listed as one of Norfolk's best pubs in the AA's Pub Guide, will be kicking off its Christmas programme on Friday, December 13, with an evening of jazz and carols featuring popular performer Gary Winter and friends.

Also on the programme is Carols Round the Bell with a raffle and winter treats including mulled wine and mince pies on December 16, as well as a Christmas quiz on December 19. Proceeds from all events will be divided equally between cancer charity the Big C and Hunworth church.

Hunworth Bell manager Sarah Handley said: "We are so looking forward to our series of festive events, our Carols by the Bell in particular is a wonderful way to enjoy some of the Hunworth Bell's legendary hospitality, whilst also raising funds for two important local causes."
