Hunstanton RNLI launched its hovercraft on Monday morning to rescue a man who had suffered a cardiac arrest at Brancaster Harbour.

Humber Coastguard had requested the launch around 10.15am to evacuate the crew member of a yacht moored in the harbour.

The air ambulance and paranmedics were on scene and the hovercraft brought the crewman ashore and handed him over the ambulance service.

While returning reports began to come in the station of several children lost out on the flats after the tide brought in a thick sea mist.

Searches of the area were carried out by the hovercraft and local coastguard team and all children were found.

The RNLI Respect The Water campaign warns people that our waters are dangerously unpredictable. General coastal safety tips include; check the weather and tide times, read signs and carry means of calling for help.

If you see someone in danger dial 999 or 112 and ask for the Coastguard.
