Hoveton and Tunstead

Nigel Dixon (C) - I am standing again as the Conservative candidate for the new Hoveton and Tunstead Ward in the North Norfolk District Council elections on 2nd May. I was born in Stalham and have lived in Hoveton 36 years.

I had a 1st career of 23 years in the RAF; more recently, I have been self employed and held several public and private Directorships. I was a Magistrate for over 25 years.

Since election in 2007 I have been most active in Economic Development, Planning and the Environment matters. I am concerned that the villages in Hoveton & Tunstead Ward should remain pleasant rural and Broads related villages and that a better balance is struck between growth of new homes, new jobs and road improvements so that we don't harm our rural environment or quality of life. For those reasons I seek your support on 2nd May.

Gerard Mancini-Boyle (C) - As a Norfolk resident of over 30 years including, for the last five years, in Hoveton St John, I am proud to live in such a wonderful area. Now that I am retired after a long career in Gas and plumbing, I am keen to get more involved in local life and make a difference to my community. This is why I have been volunteering at the Radar Museum In Neatishead, and have also become a parish councillor.

Jean Thirtle (L)

Sarah Tustin (LD) - I moved to Norfolk to study a Masters in Education at UEA. Before that I worked as a primary school teacher for a number of years and qualified and worked as a youth worker. I am passionate about improving education and training opportunities for all ages.

I have been working in North Norfolk for almost two years all together and have been lucky enough to meet with hundreds of residents. Talking with residents has helped me better understand local issues and needs. I would love to see the district council better engage people in policy and find more ways to engage people in the decisions that affect the local area.

Lancaster North

Christopher Cushing (C) - I was born in Fakenham where my family had a business. I have deep roots in the area as my family have lived around Fakenham and the surrounding villages for generations. I have worked at Norwich Union/Aviva for over 28 years where I am an IT Project Manager. Outside work I enjoy sports, military and political history, the countryside and travel.

My business background and passion for the town make me a strong candidate. I will work energetically to help solve local issues and fight for the needs of the residents. Among these are promoting businesses and jobs, affordable homes and good leisure facilities like a swimming pool. I believe in keeping the Council Tax low as possible, while still maintaining good services.

I pledge to be an active and visible District Councillor work for the benefit of everyone in Fakenham.

Annie Claussen-Reynolds (C) - I have lived in and around Fakenham all my life.

I ran my own successful ladies shop in the Town; whilst also secretary for my husband's business and a full time mum!

In 2011 and 2015 I was selected to run for District Council for Fakenham and delighted to have been elected both times.

At District I am totally committed to supporting Fakenham. I have been a Member of most Committees, as well as representing NNDC at County including Norfolk Health and Overview Scrutiny Committee.

I have also had the honour of being Chairman for NNDC.

I am extremely passionate regards our environment and it was my Motion that phased out single use plastics at NNDC offices.

Also as Cabinet Member for Environmental Services the very successful Community Fridge was installed in Fakenham.

I believe in helping everyone. I am loyal, dedicated, and will continue to work tirelessly for Fakenham. Fakenham Matters

Jeremy Punchard (I) - My name is Jeremy Punchard I've been a councillor for the past eight years.

I'm 36 and lived in Fakenham most of my life my full-time employment is with Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service.

I served on Fakenham Town Council for a number of years and was the mayor three times.

I'm a proactive community member and am involved with the Fakenham medical practice patient group.

I'm aware of the medical needs of the local community have strong views on education and community health factors bearing in mind the potential growth of Fakenham.

John Rest (I) - My name is John Rest and I am currently the Leader of the Independent Group at NNDC . I firmly believe that ,at this level of administration ,it is the needs of local people that should be our priority,not the diktats of a national ,political party. Since forming the Group I believe that we have helped to establish a more collaborative way of working, where all councillors' voices are heard. I have lived in Fakenham for over 16 years and have owned hospitality business in and around this area. I am aware of the need for more affordable housing but there must also be improvements in the infrastructure including transport links,health care and the provision of better shopping and leisure facilities. With the challenges facing us in the coming years there will be an even greater need for careful , financial prudence to ensure that all areas benefit equally.

Roy Reynolds (C) - I am a long term resident of Fakenham having lived in Fakenham all my working life. I worked as an Electrician for two local Companies before starting my own Electrical business which I ran successfully for 40 years specialising in, Farms, Factories, Housing, and Concrete production.

This gave me a vast connection and knowledge of what was desired by many people in Fakenham and District.

In 2011 I was approached to stand as a District Councillor for Fakenham and re-elected in 2015. I have been honoured to have served as a District Councillor for the last 8 years, attending the many meetings and carried out any task asked of me by the electorate.

I would very much wish to carry on serving the electorate of Fakenham, and continue to support the townsfolk and businesses of Fakenham with the same passion, and respect, whilst working to retain Fakenham's heritage and vista.

Elizabeth Dixon (G)

Wendy Fredericks (LD) - I have lived in the amazing village of Mundesley for 23 years. I work in Mundesley and my boys have both been to the local school and preschool. I have worked tirelessly for the people of Mundesley whatever their age or back ground. Refurbishing Gold Park, helping families out of poverty, feeding people and finding employment for them.

I can only help so much at a resident level and as a churchwarden, so I want to take the voices of the people of Mundesley to District Council level. I promise to listen to peoples issues, empower them to live the life they aspire to and enhance our wonderful village and its environment.

As a member of the Green Libdems I understand the importance of preserving the precious resource of our wildlife and coastline for our and future generations. I'm sure you agree with me that Government should be centred around the actual needs of local people

Barry Smith (C) - I came to Mundesley in late 1957 whilst serving with the R.A,F. at Trimingham. In 1997 I joined the parish council. I served on the parish council for ten years. Then in 2007 I was elected on to North Norfolk District Council I have continued to serve Mundesley for the past twelve years. I have previously served nine years as a crew member on Mundesley inshore lifeboat. Steward and committee member of Mundesley Maritime Museum for several years. I have helped raise funding for the renewal of the kitchen and central heating system for the Coronation Hall.

It is my firm belief that Mundesley should be represented today by an experienced and effective dedicated councillor with a proven track record. I am once again asking for your support on the 2nd May and should I be fortunate enough to be re-elected I shall continue to work hard for the benefit of Mundesley.

North Walsham East

Jeremy Eales (C)

Jeanne Heal (L) - I've lived in North Walsham for 45 years and been a member of both Town and District Councils. I've worked in Community Care, been a School Governor and a Volunteer with North Norfolk Community Transport. Our town is the largest in North Norfolk,

but it's been neglected by the District Council. Our 3,700 residents pay the North Norfolk District Council £550,300 a year in tax. North Walsham needs a strong voice to demand that the town receives the investment it deserves.

Paul Heinrich (LD) - Paul Heinrich grew up in North Walsham, a town with which his family has a long association, choosing to live there again on retirement. He worked at a senior level in the education sector as well as doing voluntary work as a board member of an education charity. Having previously served as a District Councillor for seven years Paul has extensive local government experience.

As a councillor Paul Heinrich's priorities are to see North Walsham's ongoing development as a vibrant town, with a sound economic base and a pleasant, sustainable environment.

The grant from the District Council for town centre improvements is just the start but there needs to be more free parking for shoppers. He will only support the proposed housing growth if local infrastructure, including a new road to remove heavy traffic from residential streets, more school places, and additional medical and leisure facilities are provided.

Mandy McKenna (L) - I have lived in North Norfolk for 46 years. I worked as a teacher at Paston College for 25 years where I ran the youth theatre and was Head of Expressive Arts. I am now retired.

I am keen to represent you on the District Council as I am aware of the need for affordable housing, a thriving local economy and investment in North Walsham East. I would like to see better transport links, better social care and ambulance callout times and improved broadband and mobile phone signals. I am sure there are many more concerns and I am willing to listen and fight on your behalf for improvements for our community.

Richard Sear (C)

Eric Seward (LD) - Eric Seward is currently Deputy Leader of North Norfolk District Council with responsibility for the Council's finances. He had been a District Cllr for 12 years and lives in North Walsham.

Eric Seward's priority as a Councillor has always helping residents with problems and dealing with issues in the town. He was instrumental in the setting up of the District Council's grants scheme to improve inland market towns which has recently led to North Walsham receiving a One Hundred thousand pound grant to improve the environment of the town centre. He wants more free parking in the town and will only support significant housing growth in the town over the next twenty years if it is accompanied by improvements to the local infrastructure. This means more school places, bigger local medical facilities and improvements to the road system to keep heavy through traffic away from residential streets.
