Holt Primary School celebrated gaining a prestigious Artsmark Gold award, by holding a 'golden' afternoon creating hand made Christmas tree decorations.
The Arts Council England awards aim to encourage schools to develop creativity in youngsters and demonstrate a commitment to a broad and balanced curriculum.
Holt Primary, which had to put together a portfolio as part of its application, was praised for community projects including inter-school choir and variety concerts, trips to West End musicals and work with Holt Festival, Norwich Go Go trail and north Norfolk children's arts organisation Falcon.
The school also runs after-school music, drama and art clubs, and runs workshops with visiting artists.
Year 4 teacher and arts co-ordinator Eleanor Haynes said the award recognised Holt Primary School's commitment to learning through the arts.
She added: 'We try to do a wide range of things to make children realise that art is all around them.'
