Holt's town centre remains closed this morning due to road works.

Norfolk County Council put the town's High Street and Market Place off-limits to vehicles to resurface the road from Letheringsett Hill junction through to the junction with Cromer Road.

The resurfacing started on Monday, February 25 and took about three days, with finishing up work going on yesterday and today.

'Stop-and-go' traffic management is in place today, and 'business as usual' signs have been put up.

The town's car parks remain open, and Sanders Coaches are using a temporary stop outside the community centre.

Bus services are using Kerridge Way (Budgens), entering from the primary school end and exiting by STS Tyres.

A council spokesman said before the project began: 'However extra time may be required depending on weather conditions which could be challenging at this time of the year.

'The county council thanks people for their patience while this road surface improvement work is carried out.'
