A concrete block was used to break into Decorum Menswear in High Street, Holt, and the shop was boarded-up following the raid, which took place in the early hours of Monday, September 24.

Thieves used a stolen car to escape with the designer clothing which included top brands, Ted Baker, Calvin Klein, Hugo Boss and Diesel.

Store owner Scott Foreman said: “Thank you to everyone who has helped and offered us support after our break-in.

“I am truly humbled by how much support the fantastic people of Holt have offered me and it’s days like these you realise what a fantastic community we have.

“The incident was captured on our CCTV in store and the police have plenty of information so fingers crossed those involved will be brought to justice.

“If anyone does have any information, no matter how small, be sure to contact Norfolk police. As for Decorum, we are now secure once again and we will re-open as soon as possible and come back as strong as ever. Thank you once again for all your support and hope to see you all in store very soon.”

Neighbouring businesses said the crime was very unusual in the quiet Georgian town.

Cheryl Howell, manager of next-door business Starlings, said: “It’s quite unusual for Holt and you don’t see much crime here. Hopefully, it’s a one-off, so I’m not going to sit ad worry about it. We are fairly secure here.”

Police believe the suspects escaped in a white Audi A1 which was stolen from Rouen Road in Norwich between 6pm on Monday, September 17 and 8am on Tuesday, September 18.

DC Kevin Maskell said: “I would like to hear from anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity. I would also be keen to hear from anyone who may be offered brand new designer clothes for sale at car boot sales or on social media.”

call DC Maskell at Great Yarmouth CID on 101.
