An award-winning radar museum has had its main building listed for its historic importance - which should help in the bid to secure its long-term future.
The RAF Air Defence Radar Museum at Neatishead near Wroxham charts the development of sky-scanning technology from the 1930s to the modern day.
Museum manager Doug Robb said: “It means there are more restrictions on what a developer can so, which should lessen the interest and reduce the commercial value.”
Trustees now had to wait for government departments to decide on the method of disposal. The uncertainly was hampering the museum - both in reluctance of funding bodies to release grants and its volunteers to embark on longer-term projects, he added.
