Spring the hedgehog recovering after getting caught in netting
An injured hedgehog is recovering at a rescue centre after being caught in cricket netting in north Norfolk.
Maggie Wilcox rescued the animal, who has been named Spring, from a public playing field in Blakeney. The net is believed to have been used for cricket practice.
She said: “What a wicked net they weave. Meanwhile, other wildlife remains at risk.”

David Carr, from the centre, said: “Spring is doing really well. When it came initially, its front leg was badly swollen and it was exhausted, after being caught in netting. The leg is back to normal now.”
A Norfolk County Council spokesman said: “The playing field is leased to and managed by Blakeney Parish Council.
“We have contacted them to make sure they are aware of the issue and asked what they are planning to do.”
Spring will be released back into the wild when it's better.
