Volunteers from Happisburgh Coast Watch have gathered to collect their new weatherproof winter jackets.

A grant from Shell Bacton gas terminal has enabled all the volunteers to have winter jackets with the Coast Watch logo, so should at any time they need to leave the lookout cabin to assist anyone they will be warm, dry and visible, as the jackets incorporate reflective lines on them.

Val Howson, fundraiser for the Coast Watch group, said they were delighted with the new kit.

She said: “As always we are very grateful to all our grant providers, we are fully self funded by donations and grants, so this grant means we don’t have to utilise funds that have been raised for general running costs.”
