Aylsham residents are celebrating a blooming marvellous result in the RHS Anglia in Bloom competition.
The Aylsham in Bloom team received a gold medal at the awards, which were held in Bury St Edmunds, for their efforts.
Wendy Sadler, Aylsham in Bloom chairman, said: “We are all thrilled with gaining a prestigious gold. It was a real town effort with shops and organisations taking part to make the flowers look their best.”
The town has this year been marking 200 years since the death of Humphry Repton, the celebrated 18th century landscape designer who is buried in Aylsham parish churchyard.
Mrs Sadler added: “This is only the second time that Aylsham has entered the Anglia in Bloom competition so everyone ought to be proud of their achievement.
“We now have a high standard to keep up, we are already planning our autumn planting to keep things looking cheerful all winter.”
