North Norfolk is in for another day of bracing cold weather as the Beast from the East continues and Storm Emma is set to bring chilly winds.
Police have warned motorists not to drive unless absolutely necessary as yesterday's powder snow compresses and turns into ice on the roads. And snow drifts have yet again made some roads impassable.
The A148 at Sharrington is currently at a standstill, and it has been reported that conditions on the B1105 are also particularly bad.
The A149 is also closed between the A140 junction and the B1436 at Northrepps, with police advising drivers to avoid the rote.
Many schools across the region, including Sheringham High School and Cromer Academy, are keeping their doors closed for the day.

Reedham Primary School reported it was closed as it waiting to replace stolen heating oil. A spokesman said: 'We await heating oil delivery to replace stolen oil from tank as all tanker deliveries were cancelled for our area yesterday due to the weather.'
And services at Cromer and District Hospital are limited as well, with the minor injuries unit not operating.
The temperature in north Norfolk is expected to climb to a maximum of 0 degrees, before getting colder again in the evening. However the wind chill factor makes going outside feel around 10 degrees colder. A yellow snow warning from the Met remains in place.
The north Norfolk coast can expect winds of 35mph all day.
Roads closed include the A149 North Walsham Road between B1436 Roughton Road / Thorpe Road at Thorpe Market, and A140 Norwich Road (Crossdale Street).
Fakenham Road at Guist was also closed as of 2.15pm because a HGV was stuck in snow thanks to gusting winds.
Police have also reported that 12 lorries are broken down on the A149 at Worstead, near North Walsham.

Houses without power
Hundreds of homes have also been left without power. UK Power Networks has reported that 312 homes are without power in postcodes NR11 8, NR12 0, NR12 O and NR13 4 covering villages including Mundesley, Gimingham, Thorpe Market, Southrepps, Roughton, Alymerton and Lower Gresham.
A spokesman said: 'We were investigating a high voltage overhead electricity line fault which caused a power cut in the local area.'
It is hoped power in this area will be restored between 1pm and 2pm.
Public transport services limited
Meanwhile, transport firms have also scaled back or stopped services due to weather problems and closed routes.
All Greater Anglia train lines across Norfolk are affected, including the Bittern Line which runs From Norwich to Sheringham via Hoveton and Wroxham, Worstead, North Walsham, Cromer and West Runton. The Sheringham 12.45pm service - and likely others - has been cancelled.
A spokesman said: 'It has also not yet been possible to restore services due to the severe weather conditions.'
Sanders Coaches has reported all of its services are currently suspended.
A statement on the Holt-based company's website said: 'Due to severe weather and drifting snow, many roads are impassable, meaning that we are unable to run any services at the moment.
'We will keep you updated via the website and Twitter, if, as and when the situation changes. We apologise for the inconvenience this causes.'
And Stagecoach reported 'severe delays' to its Coasthopper service, which runs from King's Lynn to Cromer.
A spokesman said: 'Due to the severe weather, we are experiencing wide spread disruptions to our Norfolk network. Currently there are severe delays to service 55 and Coasthopper and there may be delays to our other services.
'Please be aware we are endeavouring to get our service operating to the best we can. Customers are advised to allow extra travel to their journeys. Sorry for any inconveniences caused.
