Lifesaving charity, the Mundesley First Responders, has received a donation from a group of slimmers.
The village's Slimming World group, which launched in May last year, gathered the cash for the first-aiders.
Weight-loss group leader Tracy Macheta, who herself lost 6.5 stone through Slimming World, said: 'We liked the idea of helping a small charity that doesn't receive any public funding.
'We didn't realise that as volunteers, the first responders pay for their own life-saving equipment including defibrillators which cost £1,800 each.'
First responder Leigh Caudwell said: 'We are very grateful. Responders can be with a patient within minutes to administer vital life-saving assistance when our ambulance colleagues can be many miles away. As a small organisation, donations like this help us to continue our emergency work and provide equipment for the local community.'
