First garden opening at Norfolk estate

The first garden opening at the Mannington Estate in north Norfolk will include exhibitions detailing the close links between the Paston family and Mannington Hall.
The opening on Sunday, May 26, between 11am and 5pm, will also welcome the Paston Heritage Society, which is launching the Mannington Cycle Route, the first heritage trail of the Paston Footprints Project.

There will also be displays and activities hosted by the North Norfolk Astronomy Society, a bookstall and children's activities, and the Greedy Goose tearooms will be open for refreshments. Meanwhile, Moss Taylor will host a short talk and walk called Flying Wildlife.
The Pastons were one of Norfolk's most prominent families from about 1380 to 1750.
The 600 Paston Footprints is a three-year Heritage Lottery funded project that will help people connect with their story, as chronicled in the Paston Letters.
All cyclists are welcome and ribbon cutting will be at 2.30pm.
