The continuing heat wave has seen firefighters called out several times to the Horsey area on the east coast.
One incident in Horsey saw crews from Martham, Wroxham and Gorleston fire stations tackle a reed bed on fire.
It was reported at 6am on Thursday.
Then on Wednesday firefighters from stations at Martham and Great Yarmouth were called out to a fire in the open. The Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service received the call at 10.30am.
In tackling fires in the area the fire brigade said one challenge was setting up water systems over a mile of land to deal with one incident, which was said to be near Horsey Mill.
A tweet from Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service also praised the work of retained firefighters in battling the heat wave fires and their families and employers for being so understanding.
It said: “This incident at Horsey is one of many lengthy incidents that mean on-call firefighters are away from their families and employers for many hours.
“We just want to say a big thank you to those patient families and employers that allow us to protect you.”
