A curious crew aboard an air sea rescue helicopter touched down at Cromer on Monday after spotting smoke bellowing from undergrowth near the town's lighthouse.
Two fire crews spent about an hour tackling the gorse fire on the clifftop at Overstrand Road after receiving a call just after 4pm.
As firefighters fought the blaze in 20 sq m of undergrowth, the helicopter from Wattisham in Suffolk landed close by. It is thought the crew had been training in the area.
