A new accessible viewing platform costing almost £5,000 has been opened in a Broadland water garden.
The new floating platform at the Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden, in South Walsham, was officially opened by Broadland MP Keith Simpson on a visit to the site on Friday, April 26.
The platform, which overlooks the garden's private broad, was designed and constructed by Fairhaven gardener Pete Taylor.
The platform is 4m by 4.5m and sits on more than 40 double Aqua-Dock plastic floating modules.
The build cost £4,500 funded by visitors' gift aid donations.
A garden spokesperson said: 'We were very pleased to welcome Keith Simpson, our local MP, to Fairhaven to officially open the new floating viewing platform, overlooking the broad and located just off the Kingfisher Path.'
They added: 'It is fully accessible and will soon have a new picnic table made from recycled plastic.'
