Ex mayor back on North Walsham council

A former North Walsham mayor has returned to the town council after victory in a bi-election this week.Gerald 'Joe' Turner wore the gold chain nearly eight years ago when he was succeeded by Roy Haynes in 2002.
A former North Walsham mayor has returned to the town council after victory in a by-election this week.
Gerald 'Joe' Turner wore the gold chain nearly eight years ago when he was succeeded by Roy Haynes in 2002.
Yesterday he returned to North Walsham town council to represent the west ward when the results of Thursday's poll were announced.
Mr Turner won with a majority of 92 votes. In total 491 people, 15pc of the electorate, turned out to cast their vote in the election.
