A man from a village which was the scene of a fatal crash has described the 'disturbing' experience of a lorry getting stuck just feet from his window.
The north Norfolk village of Cawston was the scene of a fatal car accident on Sunday, May 19, when a man in his 50s was killed after his car left the B1145.
And residents have said the road has repeatedly been the scene of accidents and is set to see traffic from up to 250 heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) using the route in coming years as firms build wind farms off the Norfolk coast.
Spokespersons for Orsted and Vattenfall described the accident as "tragic" and a spokesperson for Orsted said "up-to-date safety assessments" would be completed before using the route for HGVs.
Now one resident has spoken of his concerns about the road being unsuitable after a lorry became stuck just feet from his house.
Chris Monk, 70, lives in a Grade II listed home on the high street and was in his house when he heard a crash from outside.

"I was working at home in my dining room when everything went black," he said.
"I looked up and there was a lorry just a few feet away from the window cutting all the light out.
"There was an abnormal load trying to move its way through the village - it got stuck on the pillar on my neighbour's wall.
"It blocked the road causing gridlock, and when trying to move off it damaged the wall."
Mr Monk, who is a retired financial manager, added: "We asked him to reverse and he said he couldn't.
"He said he was going to carry on and as he tried to pull away he took the pillar with him.
"It was disturbing, just wondering what might have happened.
"We've been campaigning about these for months saying its a dangerous road."

The incident saw the lorry, which Mr Monk said was driving towards Salle Farm, stop just three feet from his house on Wednesday, May 15, at around 11.30am.
"I think it just goes to confirm what we have been saying about Cawston being unsuitable for the proposed traffic," he added.
A spokeswoman for Norfolk Police confirmed the incident was reported to them.
She said: "We were called at 11.47am to reports a lorry had hit a wall on the high street in Cawston on May 15.
"There were no injuries. The driver had to leave the scene as it was causing an obstruction."
