In 50 copies of the North Norfolk News we will be hiding a golden ticket that will entitle the recipient to a £10 voucher to spend in Eric's Fish and Chips.

The owner of Eric's, Eric Snaith, said: "Since recently opening in Holt, Eric's are celebrating by offering the golden tickets worth £10.

"We have been hiding a limited amount of exclusive golden tickets in a selection of takeaway boxes for the majority of this year. The hunt is on!"

Mr Snaith, who also owns Titchwell Manor, opened his third fish and chip shop in Holt on Fish Hill, in July.

Other branches of Eric's also include Thornham and St Ives in Cambridge.

When choosing Holt as the location, Mr Snaith said: "It's a really nice old market town and it's just one of those places we were drawn to.

"Although there are other fish and chip shops, no one is doing the style we do. Holt's just the right demographic for us."

In addition to the regulars such as cod, diners are also treated throughout the seasons by specials such as mackerel, sardines or trout.

The restaurant also has some very tasty surprises including veggie arancini balls, crispy squid, and Fruit Pig black pudding fritters and sausages.

Mr Snaith said: "One of my favourite things we do is our fish burger.

"It's quite a simple burger - just a fried piece of cod in a brioche bun- but the mayo with it is Japanese-influenced and it has pickled Japanese vegetables and benito [dried tuna] flakes. It's really interesting.

"We've just done a deep-fried jam sandwich, that was almost like a doughnut. It had a sweet batter and was rolled in sugar."

The voucher is valid until December 31, 2020 and must be used in one transaction and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.

Tickets can be found in this weeks [Thursday, October 24] edition of the North Norfolk News.
