An elderly man has been airlifted to hospital with serious head injuries following a collision in Cromer town centre.

A Norfolk Constabulary spokesman said emergency services were called to the junction of Hamilton Road and Prince of Wales Road in the seaside town at 12.55pm today (Thursday, November 16).
The spokesman said an elderly male pedestrian was injured in the collision, which also involved a dark green Skoda Yeti station wagon.
An air ambulance landed at Evington Gardens to pick up the injured man.
He said: 'The pedestrian has been airlifted to Addenbrooke's Hospital with a serious head injury.'
Several road ambulances and police cars have been at the scene, and Hamilton Road was closed while the recovery effort has been taking place.
A spokesman from the East of England Ambulance Service said: 'We were called at just before 1pm today to a report of a collision between a car and pedestrian in Hamilton Road.'

'Two ambulance crews, an ambulance officer and East Anglian Air Ambulance were dispatched.
'They treated a man who was airlifted to Addenbrooke's Hospital in a life-threatening condition.'
Police are directing traffic around the area, and delays are expected for motorists passing through.
