Driver hurt in crash near Aylsham

A driver was injured in a crash between a car and a lorry near Aylsham this morning.

The motorist in their 20s was trapped after the collision on a bend in High Noon Road off the A140 Aylsham to Cromer Road at Erpingham at about 9.

The motorist in their 20s was trapped after the collision on a bend in High Noon Road off the A140 Aylsham to Cromer Road at Erpingham at about 9.30am.

Three fire crews from Cromer, Aylsham and Norwich attended, and freed the casualty who was put on a spinal board, said to be stable, and taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. The air ambulance was also called but had difficulty in landing at the scene and was not used.

The road was blocked while the wreckage was cleared away.
