Their average age is 76, with the oldest band member 89, and the joke among them is that every show could be the last.
The Sheringham Busketeers performs across north Norfolk to raise money for the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
Playing a variety of instruments, their repertoire focuses mainly on the popular music of the '50s, '60s, and '70s, including skiffle, country and folk.
One of their regular haunts is the Tyneside club in Station Road, Sheringham, where they performed on Friday, December 8.
The eldest member Donny Grande, 89, was unable to make that gig, but six of the members played to an enthusiastic crowd of pensioners celebrating their Christmas meal and dancing to the bygone sounds.
The leader of the band is Trevor Piggott, 74, and the other members are musical director Tony Bryant, 73, pianist Peter Bunyan, 79, drummer Roger Reynolds, 75, ukulele and mandolin David Lingard, 80, and Mel Woodruffe, bass, who will be 75 on Christmas Day.
Mr Piggott said: 'We formed about eight years ago. Peter and I were the founding members. We used to sit in my house in Sheringham having a jam session before. We brought in Donny and put an advert in the paper for more musicians.
'We are all former musicians and singers. Peter was a semi-professional in Oxford, and Tony is an absolute professional.
'We know we are on the last round-up and we always go to a gig thinking this could be the one - the last, because of our ages.
'But we all enjoy it. None of us gets paid a penny. It all goes to the air ambulance. We are now thinking of making a record.'
Over the past five years they have raised more than £16,000 for EAAA and other charities.
One of their biggest fans is Margaret Churchill whose husband Fred is the band's roadie.
She said: 'They play throughout the summer outside the Crown pub in Sheringham, and holiday-makers love their music. They also play at many other venues, at festivals, village halls, and outside events.'
They will be playing on Saturday, December 16 at Kelling Holiday Park, from 1-4pm.
