Daddy Long Legs from Brooklyn, New York will headline The Gunton Festival of Food & Music 2019.

Following the sold-out success of the previous two years, the festival is returning on Saturday, August 3 to The Gunton Arms in Thorpe Market.

DLL have just gone into the American Billboard blues chart at No.4, outselling the likes of George Benson, Joe Bonamassa and Buddy Guy.

They will join Hollie Cook, The Arlenes, Jarrod Dickenson, Sister Cookie, Son of Dave and The Cesarians plus DJs Dean Chalkley, Iriana Mancini, DJ Sure Delight and Cromer Soul Club DJs.

Daddy Long Legs have just completed a very successful UK tour including a sell-out show at Norwich Arts Centre to promote their brilliant new album Lowdown Ways, produced by Jimmy Sutton from JD McPherson. Expect harp driven high energy RnB mixed with field hollers, gospel, Cajun, and Mississippi Hill Music!

Hollie Cook blew up last year with her album "Vessel of Love" produced by the legendary Martin "Youth" Glover with its sweet mix of Lovers Rock , dub and rock steady or "Tropical Pop" as Hollie describes it. Hollie and her band are the perfect musical accompaniment to a day in the sun on the Gunton deer park!

Jarrod Dickenson hails from Waco, Texas and is now based in Nashville via Brooklyn. Jarrod spends most of his time on the road bringing his own particular brand of soulful Americana to a wide variety of music loving audiences around the globe.

Local musicians Steve and Stephanie Pulford embarked on a 30 year musical adventure with The Arlenes in North London that took them to California and Nashville and back to Norfolk 7 years ago. The husband and wife duo rose to the forefront of the UK's new country movement in the late 90s and release an eagerly anticipated new album , "One More Hill To Climb", in 2019.

Sister Cookie exploded out of the London vintage soul and blues scene in the late 2000's and has been blowing the roofs off venues with her white hot band ever since with slamming jump blues and soulful gospel.

Son of Dave is a Bluesman. Not traditional, but has begun a new tradition perhaps. Playing harmonica, layering up beatbox grooves, stomping and playing percussion, then writing passionate growling infectious songs overtop, he defies category. A truly maverick Bluesman.

The Cesarians are unlike anything else you will see at The Gunton Festival or any other festival come to that - Imagine Ken Russell directing a Lee Bowery ballet in a Bauhaus- constructed set to a score composed by Mahler and performed by The Residents!

The Gunton Festival of Food & Music was launched in 2017 and sold out out three months in advance as it did last year.

Described by The Independent as a "Rock & Roll Hunting Lodge", The Gunton Arms is located in the beautiful thousand acre deer park which surrounds Gunton Hall near Cromer in North Norfolk.

Gunton Head Chef Stuart Tattersall has hand-picked a mouth-watering selection of vendors from across the UK for food section of the festival which will be announced soon.
