A Cromer lifeboat volunteer is taking part in the London Marathon in aid of national lifeboat charity, the RNLI.
Kate Berry, 40, set herself the challenge of completing a marathon in 2019 four years ago, after finding she was unable to run around her local park in Hertfordshire.
Miss Berry, a festival ticketing manager, who now lives in East Runton, said: “I set myself the challenge of running a 5k in 2016; a 10k in 2017; a half marathon in 2018; and a marathon in 2019.
“I started off at Park Run in Sheringham and did the Norwich 10k in 2017. Last year I did London Landmarks half marathon, and was lucky enough to get a charity place to run for the RNLI this year.”
Miss Berry has been a trainee volunteer at Cromer lifeboat since April 2018.
Colleagues have sponsored her £150 and she has raised £1,570 from family and friends - 62pc of her £2,500 target.
