Year 6 pupils at Cromer Junior School topped off their last year in primary education in style, by staging an all-singing, all-dancing production based on the TV talent show The X-Factor.
Following the fortunes of failing St Dithers School, which is under threat of closure after being labelled 'average' by Ofsted inspectors, the X-Factory tells the tale of new head teacher Simon Trowel, who brings in 'super-teachers' Will.I.Was, Cherri Cola, Bruno Macaroni, Bant and Beck and Dusty Barrel to turn the school into a breeding ground for reality TV stars.
But, when staff and pupils decide to fight back, fun and frolicks ensue.
Cromer Juniors deputy head teacher Suzanne Ashpole thanked staff for their hard work in staging the production and praised the two cast teams for their dedication.
"The performance was outstanding," she said. "It was a fitting showcase for our Year 6 children's talents and marked the end of four years of hard work at primary school."
