Staff and customers at Boots in Cromer staged a charity day raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

They made cakes, and ran a tombola stand in the store, which also hosted a poignant gallery of pictures of local people who had died from the disease in recent years.

Members of staff donned fancy dress and green wigs for the day, organised by Angela Yiasimi and Carys Batson, which raised 716.29. Mrs Yiasimi praised staff who came in on their day off to help, and the members of public who got involved.

A local taxi driver also sported a wig and tee-shirt in his cab during the day to collect further cash to add to the pot.

And children's Easter egg colouring competition continues to raise money for the cause, with entry forms available in the shop.
