The 'Send My Friend to School' campaign gets thousands of children across the UK to speak up for the right education for everyone, and remind world leaders of their promise that all children should gain the opportunity to go to school. This campaign is run by the UK coalition of the Global Campaign for Education (GCE).

The Global Campaign for Education is a global organisation working to ensure quality education for all children, with members in over 100 countries. In the UK the campaign seeks to increase community awareness of the state of education internationally and generate the political will necessary to ensure the UK plays an active and effective part in efforts to secure education for all.

To take part in this, everyone in Cromer Academy will be helping create paper rucksacks that have a message on them that explains examples of reasons why every child should be able to attend school and why we should help children in countries whose education has been disrupted by crisis, natural disaster, epidemic and conflict. One paper rucksack will be created in every form in each year group, these will be sent to North Norfolk MP Norman Lamb. It is hoped this will help persuade the UK government to aid this campaign.
