Initiatives to help tackle crime and anti-social behaviour are to be discussed at an event being held later this month.
The leader of Broadland District Council, Simon Woodbridge, is hosting a meeting in Aylsham Town Hall, on Tuesday, April 27, at 7pm, which will examine the prevention of crime and how to divert young people's lives away from offending behaviour.
In 2007 the University of East Anglia published research on the Stairway Programme, which examined the views of a wide range of members of the public, and different groups and agencies concerned with preventing and reducing offending and anti-social behaviour.
Broadland District Council has been working with the programme since then and is now looking to share what it has learned with town and parish councils and local communities.
The event has been organised by Aylsham Cittaslow, which is part of a growing international network of over 140 towns in 20 countries, which promote quality of life as important in communities.
