New crime figures for Sheringham have been revealed.
Sgt Andy Smith from the Sheringham Safer Neighbourhood Team revealed at the town council meeting on Tuesday, April 5, that since the last meeting five weeks ago, 22 crimes had been committed in the town, which included assaults, public order offences, drugs related crimes and damage to vehicles.
He said the number represented a rise in crime for the first time in several months, but added that he believed this was also partly down to more pro-active policing uncovering and dealing with more crimes.
