Figures have revealed that crime levels in the Runtons in north Norfolk are going down.
Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) Huw Kerfoot recently presented the figures at the Runtons annual parish meeting which showed overall crimes fell from 58 to 31 over the last 12 months comparing the same period in 2009-2010 to 2010-2011.
In East Runton crimes fell from 34 to 25 and in West Runton crimes significantly dropped from 24 to only 6.
PCSO Kerfoot said: “The reduction has been achieved through team effort, not only by the police but partner agencies and members of the public, and this cannot be underestimated.
“The continuing help and support of the public is a vital component in this and we encourage people to always report any suspicious activity that they see and to share any information that they may have”.
